How this site handles data

In short

This site sets no cookies, measures no visitors, embeds no advertising networks and loads nothing from other servers. That is why there is no consent banner either: there is nothing to consent to.

Server logs

When this page is requested, your browser transmits technically necessary data to the server delivering it: IP address, time, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, and the browser identifier. Without these the page cannot be delivered. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in secure operation. These logs are not combined with other data and are not used to analyse visitors.

Hosting

The site is delivered by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA, from servers in Europe. Vercel processes the log data above on my behalf. For transfers to the United States, Vercel relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Fonts

The fonts used are held on the same server as the site and are not fetched from Google or anyone else. Your IP address is not passed to anybody for them.

Getting in touch

If you write or ring, I process what you tell me in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where a contract is being prepared and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise. I delete these details once they are no longer needed and no retention obligation applies.

No form

This site has no contact form. The links given open your own email programme or telephone application. No data is transmitted to this site in the process.

If I write to you and you have never heard of me

I build websites for small businesses and show them the finished site before anything costs money. To know which business does not have a website yet, I use publicly available directories, chiefly the open map directory OpenStreetMap. What is processed is the business name, the address, the phone number, the trade and, where it is listed there, an email address or a Facebook or Instagram page. For a sole trader this can be personal data. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in reaching businesses my offer is suitable for, Article 6 (1)(f) GDPR. You may object to this at any time under Article 21 GDPR. A single line is enough: I delete you and record it so that a later search does not bring you back. Details you gave me yourself on the phone are processed to prepare a contract, Article 6 (1)(b) GDPR.

Who else works with it

For the calling I work with self-employed callers. They see only the businesses in their own territory, reach them through a personal access with a code, and may not use the data for anything else. Anyone who asks not to be called again is blocked at once, and a caller cannot lift that block. The data itself is held by n8n GmbH in Berlin, Germany.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Write to the address above. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority; for Baden-Württemberg that is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

Artificial intelligence

Parts of this site were created with artificial intelligence, in particular the imagery and the video in the header. That is stated in the footer of every page. No personal data of visitors was processed to create it.

If the structure of this site changes, this notice changes with it. The version available here is the one that applies.
